Courtney comes to XPRIZE Foundation with 25+ years of experience, 13 years at the CFO level, in media and entertainment (feature film, creative marketing/agency, television, music, home entertainment, and live theater industries), internationally and domestically.
Prior to joining XPRIZE, Courtney was the Senior Vice President of Finance & Business Development at CBS Films. At CBS, Courtney prepared the Annual Budget, Rolling Forecasts, the Long Range Strategic Plan and the film greenlight packages. Prior to CBS, Courtney has been the CFO of various creative feature film & television production and distribution companies, and creative marketing agencies, including Gold Circle Films, Mob Scene LLC, First Look Studios, Porchlight Entertainment and Bellum Entertainment. She has held senior financial roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Music-Interscope Geffen A&M records, PolyGram Film Entertainment, PolyGram Music and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Really Useful Group.
Courtney graduated in the top 10% of her class at the University of Toronto, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and she became a Chartered Accountant (C.A.) in 1992. She is an avid runner, cyclist and hiker, and loves the outdoors. She has two teenage kids; Sophie(15) and Patrick (17). An animal lover, Courtney has 3 dogs and 1 cat.
